How to use it
Tap "Add a date", pick the type, and enter the day and month. The year is optional, but add it if you know it so the tool can show "turns 40" or "25th anniversary".
Set "Remind me" to a week or two before if you need to post a card or buy a present. Anything inside that window is flagged in orange so it stands out.
A web page can't send notifications while it's closed, so tap "Add to my calendar". You get one file with every date repeating yearly, plus an early reminder and one on the day. On iPhone, open the file and tap "Add All". On Android or Outlook, import it into Google Calendar or Outlook.
After you've sent the card or bought the gift, tap "Done" on that date. It's marked done for this year only and resets automatically next year.
Your list lives in this browser only. Settings → "Download backup" saves a copy you can restore on this device or move to another one.
Traditional wedding anniversary gifts
For wedding anniversaries where you've entered the year, each card shows the traditional theme for the anniversary coming up. These are the themes most commonly used in Australia and the UK. Lists vary a little between sources, so treat them as inspiration rather than rules.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not by itself. A web page can't send you alerts once it's closed, and this tool doesn't use a server or collect your details. Instead, "Add to my calendar" downloads a standard calendar file (.ics) with every date set to repeat yearly and reminders already built in. Once it's imported, your phone's own calendar reminds you, which is far more reliable.
iPhone / iPad: tap the downloaded file, then "Add All" and pick which calendar. Google Calendar: on a computer, go to Settings → Import & export, choose the file and select a calendar. It then syncs to your Android phone. Outlook: double-click the file, or use File → Open & Export → Import. If you add more dates later, you can download just those with the calendar button on each card, so you don't import duplicates.
In non-leap years you can choose to celebrate on 28 February or 1 March. The default is 28 February, and you can change it in Settings. The choice also carries through to the calendar file, so your phone reminds you on the right day every year.
No. Without a year the tool still counts down to the date and reminds you. You just won't see the age they're turning or which anniversary it is. You can add the year later by editing the date.
Yes. Names and dates are stored only in this browser's local storage on this device. Nothing is sent to us or anyone else. That also means clearing your browser data will remove the list, so download a backup from Settings every so often.
Yes, but each browser keeps its own copy. Use Settings → "Download backup" on one device and "Restore from file" on the other. To add it to your phone's home screen, open this page in Safari (iPhone) and tap Share → "Add to Home Screen", or in Chrome (Android) tap ⋮ → "Add to Home screen". It gets its own cake icon.
